Smart Card: Generic term for a plastic Card (usually the size of a credit Card) with a microchip embedded in it. Some smart cards contain a microelectronic chip and require data interaction through a reader. Smart cards are equipped with CPU, RAM, and I/O to process large amounts of data without interfering with the host CPU. Smart cards can also filter out erroneous data to reduce the burden on the host CPU. This method is suitable for scenarios with a large number of ports and high communication speed. The integrated circuit in the card includes CPU, programmable read-only memory EEPROM, RAM and COS(Chip Operating System). The data in the card is divided into external reading and internal processing.
"Smart Card" takes IC card technology as the core and uses computer and communication technology as the means to connect various facilities inside intelligent buildings into an organic whole. Users can complete the usual keys, capital settlement, attendance and some control operations through an IC card. Such as using lC card to open the door, IC card dining, shopping, entertainment, conference, parking, patrol, office, charging services and other activities. Instead of carrying more than a heavy key to open the door, to the corresponding departments to pay fees and other complex operations. The whole system can monitor and manage and make decisions for all departments according to their needs. Local systems and terminals can automatically organize and summarize the collected information for system inquiry, summary, statistics, management and decision-making. Through THE IC card can communicate with each other, not only to meet the independence of each function management, but also to ensure the consistency of the overall management. It can be divided into: campus intelligent card, community intelligent card, office building intelligent card, enterprise intelligent card, hotel intelligent card, intelligent building intelligent card and so on. According to the card type, it can be divided into IC card (the most widely used), ID card (gradually phased out), CPU card (development trend).
